Rachael Hock, MBA, LNHA
Administrator
In 2013 Rachael began her career at St. Joseph Senior Living in the Dietary Department at The Alsatian while attending college. She received her undergraduate degree in 2016 from Kent State University in Nursing Home Administration. She then graduated with a masters degree in business administration in healthcare management from Walsh University in 2019. While finishing up her degree Rachael was working in the business office and once she finished her degree she was promoted to Assistant Administrator. As of January 1, 2023 she became Administrator.
Rachael enjoys spending time with her family, and friends. She and her husband live in Canton with their dog and two cats.

Brian Harbert
CFO
A life-long resident of Stark County, Brian is a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School and Walsh University. With his finance degree, he has worked in various healthcare administration rolls for more than 20 years, utilizing his skills and gaining valuable experience. Brian believes in giving back to the community through volunteerism in order to make it a better place to live. He was a long-time Canton Chamber of Commerce Ribs Burn-Off Committee volunteer and chaired the event for two consecutive years. He is the past president of Christ the Servant Our Lady of Peace Men’s Club, in which he is still active. He was past finance chair for the American Cancer Society Canton Relay for Life.
Brian resides in Canton with his wife, Laurie, and their two college-age daughters, Courtney and Kinsley.

Phyllis Schrader, RN
Wellness Center and Nursing Home Director of Nursing
Phyllis has extensive experience as a Director of Nursing for the past seven years. Three of those years, have been with St. Joseph Senior Living. Phyllis started her career in healthcare since she was 17 years old. She has worked in critical care and kidney dialysis. She was manager of an Alzheimer’s and Dementia unit for two years.
Married for 12 years she has raised two daughters and has five grandchildren. The residents’ well being and safety is her number one concern. Her goal is to help residents have a high quality of life and respect in the years that God has given them here with us at St. Joseph Senior Living.

Director of Social Services

Leatha White-McFarren
Life Enrichment Director
Leatha joined the St. Joseph Senior Living team with 24 years of experience working in long term care as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication from the University of Dayton. Leatha’s mission is to enrich the lives our residents with meaningful and purposeful activities.
Leatha has been married to her husband Christopher for 25 years and they have 4 children.

Kelli Shaw
Director of Dining Services
Kelli started her career in healthcare foodservice at the age of 16 at Doctors Hospital in Massillon. She has been a Dietary Manager for 22 years and made the decision to return to college to receive her CDM, Certified Dining Manager degree.
Kelli resides in Perry Township, and enjoys spending time with her family. She is also a HUGE
Notre Dame Fan!

Darla Holmes
Director of Housekeeping/Laundry Services
For the past 27 years Darla has had a career in health care. She began as an STNA and came to St. Joseph Senior Living in 2014 as the Supply Clerk. When the opportunity arose, she was promoted to Director of Housekeeping/Laundry as she was ready to take on this responsibility. Darla maintains her STNA certification. As a team member, she quickly offers this assistance as her schedule permits. Darla has a talent for seeing what needs to be done and makes it happen!

Beth Brunner
Director of The Alsatian Independent Living/ Media Marketing
Beth first worked at St. Joseph’s while a senior in high school when the only building was the nursing home. Beth attended the University of Akron, and from there became the sales and marketing presenter for several professional photography organizations. She was also a guest speaker at national conventions for photography, sales and marketing. She returned in 2011 as the Administrative Assistant, and then Director of Admissions for the nursing home. In 2017 Director of The Alsatian/Marketing.
Family is very important to Beth. Making sure that the residents have their best life at The Alsatian is equally as important. The Alsatian was voted Best of The Best in Stark County five years in row, and she attributes that to the fantastic staff that helps make The Alsatian the best.
